Jim Blair has been writing and performing in the Connecticut music scene with various groups since the early 80’s. After the birth of his children, first Allie and then Jimmy, music took a back seat to family. During those years Jim kept writing and occasionally performing while juggling a full time career as a stonemason/landscape contractor and being a dad. The songs Jim writes are snapshots of real life and reflect the observations of his world. That world is hard working, blue collar. His songs chronicle the ups, the downs, and everything in between. From the joy of fatherhood(The Circle), coming to grips with addiction(Destiny), to living life to it’s fullest(The Sands of Corolla), Jim’s songs are born from real life in real time.
